No Cost too High for Freedom
Cancer...Cancer...
Look the other way.
Leave me to live the good life
I was meant to live today.
I will focus on how far I've come,
Not on how far I have to go.
"Quitting is not an option"
in my positive mind and soul.
Cancer...I'm in charge here,
And your presence I shall ignore....
Being healthy is my priority..
and fighting you is my chore.
Sadness surrender to laughter
and take away my tears.
Stress don't leave me worried,
because I'm letting go of my fears.
When the end of the road has come
An the gates of heaven are ready for me,
I don't want any rights in a tearful room.....
Why cry for lingering pain and a soul that's now set free.
Poem Written by Sergeant First Class Tricia Bear (Retired Military - Marines/Army National Guard)
